It’s the Lux Winter Cup again! It’s the third time we have participated.
The juge was Roman Lukac from Slovenia.
We were disqualified on both runs, but Kaïa did well. Except for the “out” she keeps missing 🙁
The juge was Åsa Emanuelsson from Sweden.
Very technical and challenging courses! Not everything goes as planned. We were disqualified twice again.
On the agility, kaïa skipped some doors at the end. I didn’t see it, the juge didn’t see it, only the public.
This is Halloween at Saarburg! A four-day competition in Germany. Last year it was lots of fun, so we signed up for this edition.
The judge was Peter Saile from Germany.
First day, first run, first success! This is the best way to start a competition because Kaïa finished faultless and first place on Agility, which means we take home a signature for grade 3!
We got disqualified on the Jumping, but she did a good run anyway, she tried on the weave pole, but that was not an easy entry.

Kaïa and I were a bit tired, the competition on the 31 finished around 23h00, we didn’t sleep well and I could feel that she wasn’t fully focused.
On the Jumping, she made a bad jump and fell on the floor. I was worried that she could be injured and stopped everything to make sure.
Fortunately she was fine, and we finished the course.

I didn’t realize that I took a bad option at the start of this Jumping, she didn’t understand me well.
On the agility, I knew from the beginning that I would be disqualified on the “out” after the tunnel. She doesn’t understand them well, it’s not logical for her. You definitely can see the hesitation of the dog in front of the jump. And then she just jumped it. Something to work on…
The judge was Rik Hemmen from Luxembourg.
Last day of the competition. A little fault on the jumping (a bar fell on the floor), and a stunning 28 seconds to finish the run. We take the second place on the podium.
And the last run of the competition, I was late like a train on a strike day after the weave pole and had to do some damage control.
Kaïa finished faultlessly and we stepped onto the first place of the podium. This allows us to claim another signature. We only need one more to move to agility grade 3!

There was a little one-day competition in France. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the 2 agility courses. They were not easy to handle with a fast dog like Kaïa. I even skipped a part of the second agility on purpose since it was not good for her
The jumping was nice, she could enjoy a good run.
The “Village canin” is nice, and I will do more competitions there.
The first time we have participated in this big agility competition. We are disqualified on each run, but it’s all my fault. Kaïa did amazing with some crazy weave poles!
Unfortunately, on the last run, I made a terrible handling mistake, throwing my dog into a jump frame. She felt on the frame, and I feared that she could be injured. Fortunately, she’s fine and we finished the course.

Beautiful weekend with challenging courses, Happy Dog is a great place to be, plenty of space, smiling people, and good food.
It was also the opportunity to take some family picture! Kaïa father, mother, and brother were available on Saturday so we took a family picture! On Sunday, Annabelle, Kaïa’s sister joined us to take another picture.
